The Maxi Kilt is bold, adaptable, and designed for movement. This unisex piece reinterprets traditional kilt-making with modern flexibility and a deep commitment to zero-waste construction.

The design is multi-functional: it can be worn as a skirt, a cape, or as a top — shifting form with just a few simple adjustments. Two adjustable kilt straps allow for versatile styling and a comfortable, flexible fit across a 3-inch size range.

This kilt has an asymmetric hem line - the shortest length is approximately 21” from the waistband and the longest length is approximately 33”. It’s easily modified by tucking and styling to your own taste and requirements.

Made from 100% RSW-certified merino wool, the tartan is dyed in Langholm, woven at Prickly Thistle’s Highland mill, and finished in Galashiels. The fabric is medium-weight with a soft, silky handle, similar to high-quality tailoring wool — breathable, durable, and comfortable enough for all-day wear.

Each kilt is made to order using your measurements. Sustainably and ethically made using traditional techniques and zero-waste construction, this is a garment built to last — designed for years of wear and made to carry meaning over a lifetime.
