Witches of Scotland Tartan Ceremonial Kilt Pre-order

The Ceremonial Kilt is a traditional garment created to honour history and carry meaning across generations. This is a kilt for both moments of significance and of personal expression.

Made from 100% RSW-certified merino wool, the fabric has a medium weight and silky handle, comparable to tailoring wool — soft, durable, and structured enough to wear all day in comfort. The wool is dyed in Langholm, woven in the Highlands by Prickly Thistle, and finished in Galashiels by the last textile finishers in Scotland. The result is a fabric of exceptional quality and character, produced with integrity at every stage.

Each kilt is pleated to the stripe at the rear to highlight the structure of the Witches of Scotland tartan, with its distinctive red and pink check. These colours represent legal tape -a nod to the state’s involvement in criminalising innocent people. This bold design choice that serves as a visible commitment to recognising injustice in all its forms.

Tartan flashes are included as standard. The kilt is completed with hand-cut Scottish leather straps, and each kilt is made to order using a pioneering zero-waste construction developed by Prickly Thistle.

Please note:

Current product photography shows the rear of a Ceremonial Kilt in a different tartan. We’ve included an additional image to show the pleating to the stripe, which would be seen at the back of the kilt in the official Witches of Scotland tartan. As is traditional the front of the garment is flat and unpleated - showing off the tartan design in full.
